This is essentially a photographic essay on the Hebrides by Gus Wylie whose first experience of Scotland was during the evacuation of the war years (1940-44). He first studied painting at the Royal College of Art from 1957-60 but it was the camera & photography that became a more satisfying medium for him. He ultimately became Senior Lecturer in Photographic Arts at the Polytechnic of Central London. This photographic collection stemmed from a sabbatical year that he was able to spend on the Hebrides.
